Perry High School’s 2024 yearbook has been awarded the Jostens Gold Level Award in their National Yearbook Program of Excellence. This award is given to programs that meet 12 minor and 3 major goals for the year. Fewer than twenty schools in Ohio have received this award over the past few years.
Perry’s yearbook has consistently achieved silver status, meeting the 12 minor goals and two of the major goals (meeting all deadlines and getting over 75% of the student body in the book 3 times or more) and this past year they achieved the final goal for sales. The staff made a concerted effort to advertise and sell the book last year and were able to raise their overall sales by 2%. This goal pushed the staff into the gold award.
The yearbook staff works incredibly hard every year to make the best book possible for the Perry High School community, and they are thankful for everyone who purchased the book last year.
There were 5 seniors on staff last year who were instrumental in making this award possible: 4-year members Rachel Greenwood and Katelyn Homerick, 3-year members Mallory Erickson and Kaitlen Vadiales Torres, and first year member Kaylin Jordan. These ladies did an amazing job with the book and program along with this year’s returning members: Nola, Sophia, Ellison, Chloe and Savannah.
