Summer Internship Spotlight 7/23/25

Our third Summer Intern Spotlight shines on Kyle, one of our amazing Ohio High School Technology Interns gaining real-world experience this summer at Great Lakes Power. Kyle has been working on data migration projects, moving and updating information into a new ERP system, Acumatica, while learning advanced applications within tools like Excel.

Kyle has also explored network management and device updates, even conducting his own research to prepare Windows 10 machines for Windows 11 upgrades, a task he streamlined using Excel. He’s surprised and excited by how much he’s learning every day!

As a student in Auburn Career Center’s Web Game Design program, Kyle sees clear connections between classroom learning and this hands-on internship. He plans to study Computer Science in college. Additionally, this summer Kyle participated in the Esports camp at the University of Akron continuing to explore his college and career options for after graduation.
