Summer Internship Spotlight 7/31/25
Chloe is continuing her internship this summer at Madison Veterinary Hospital, building on the experience she began during the Spring 2025 semester. While her spring internship focused largely on shadowing the veterinary techs and doctors, Chloe’s summer experience has taken things to the next level thanks to additional hands-on training.
This summer, Chloe is actively supporting the team by cleaning exam rooms, preparing vaccines, assisting with heartworm tests, and occasionally helping with animal restraint. She’s become a reliable presence in the clinic, always ready to step in and assist wherever needed.
Chloe is exploring career paths in both veterinary medicine and pharmacy and has taken intentional steps to learn more about both fields. She’s visited several colleges and recently attended a veterinary medicine summer camp at Bowling Green State University, designed for high school students considering the profession. Chloe is truly keeping her options open and soaking in every opportunity for insight and experience.
She’s also fine-tuning her communication skills, learning how to ask the right questions and engage more fully in the moment, skills that are essential in fast-paced healthcare settings.
Chloe shared her deep gratitude for the kind and supportive team at Madison Vet Hospital who welcomed her, mentored her, and made this experience so meaningful. And we’d be remiss not to thank Daisy, Chloe’s own sweet pup, for being the perfect posed patient in today’s visit!
Chloe, thank you for representing Perry High School with such heart, professionalism, and curiosity. You’re making the most of every opportunity and we can’t wait to see where your path leads! 🐶🩺
