Congratulations to our students of the week, Gigi and Cameron!

Gigi was nominated by Mr. Zusy.  Mr. Zusy explained that in class, Gigi had completed her work for the day and rather than sitting around, she took it upon herself to start sweeping up in the metals lab. This was completely unprompted by Mr. Zusy.  Gigi demonstrated initiative and self-direction, two important qualities of a life-long learner!  
 
Gigi is a member of the high school wrestling team. In her free time, Gigi works as a lifeguard and enjoys taking care of her ducks. After high school, Gigi plans to become a welding engineer.      
 
Cameron was also nominated by Mr. Zusy. Mr. Zusy described that while the class was working outside at the home renovation house, Cameron noticed that several of the neighbors' trash cans were blown over due to the strong winds. Cameron took it upon himself to walk the cans of 3 different homes up close to their garages. We are so proud of Cam's demonstration of caring for his community! 
 
Cam enjoys working with his hands, riding freestyle BMX, and fishing. After high school, Cam plans to one day own his own business working in construction.
