During flex yesterday, Mrs. Snowden's students read a passage titled, "What Kind of Pencil is Your Favorite?" and answered comprehension questions with support from the text. After reading students were given an opportunity to build the tallest tower of pencils they could that would support an apple. A young boy smiles while sitting at a classroom table with an apple balanced on a bundle of taped-together pencils.
