Internship Spotlight 9/29/26

Dakota is gaining hands-on experience at Madison Veterinary Hospital and exploring the many roles and specialties within veterinary medicine. While shadowing veterinary assistants and technicians, Dakota has helped prepare animals for surgery, cleaned and prepared patient rooms, and observed several procedures, including a mass removal, spay, and neuter.

Dakota is also taking advantage of opportunities to ask questions and learn from veterinary professionals about their specialties and career paths. The experience is helping them better understand the different areas of veterinary medicine and identify which may be the best fit for their interests.
