Meet Vimbai, one of our incredible summer interns gaining real-world healthcare experience at University Hospitals in Geneva. Her days are filled with hands-on learning, from checking IV carts and ensuring closets and supplies are fully stocked, to managing the blanket warmer and even running labs.

Vimbai has also had the chance to observe cardiac procedures, assist during the removal of stitches (even fishhooks), and practice professional communication with patients, all essential skills for a future in healthcare.

Starting her journey toward nursing, Vimbai’s ultimate goal is to become a doctor. She’s considering starting at Lakeland Community College but also has her sights set on continuing her education in a large city.
