Kids Care Club Birthday Kits
Kids Care Club set out to collect Birthday Kits to be made available to families in need through the Perry Food Pantry. We shared this goal with staff and families through newsletters and school communications, and the response was heartwarming.
Eighth graders, Yaneli Pacheco Lara and Alondra Miranda Jacinto, proudly spearheaded this project from start to finish. They took the initiative to communicate directly with the Perry Food Pantry to coordinate the effort and were welcomed with open arms. They also met with Mrs. Trentanelli to discuss the project in greater depth and explore ways to expand this idea through the PSL program as they prepare to enter high school next year.
Through the generosity and support of our school community, we were able to assemble an incredible 61 birthday kits. We also partnered with PSL students to help transport and deliver all of the kits to the Perry Food Pantry.
Thank you to everyone who contributed supplies and supported this project along the way!
