PERRY MIDDLE SCHOOL

Student Council hosted a fun Valentine's celebration in the lobby as students entered the building in the morning. Students participated in games, won prizes, and enjoyed a small treat.

Mrs. Rayner’s 7th graders recently completed an aqueduct build challenge. This build celebrates the ingenuity of Roman engineering and challenges students to control the flow of water into Rome.

Congratulations to Alex S. on winning his 3rd Perry Schools District Spelling Bee! He and second place winner, Izzabella, went 20 rounds before Alex won with the winning word, graphite, in the championship round. Coming in third was 4th grader, Penny C.

Congratulations to all of our participants on a job well done!

5th grade students listed ways they could connect with and make a positive impact on our community and created a grade-wide philanthropy project, Cookies for a Cause.

On October 16th, Perry 6th graders had the opportunity to explore various career pathways through off-campus experiences based on their own interests during the annual Share Your Genius Day (SYGD). Pathways included transportation, performing arts, fine arts, healthcare, athletics, public safety, hair and fashion, manufacturing,  and  aviation. Yes, students actually went up in a plane and some even took the controls!

Our 8th graders had a great time visiting our nation's capital!

Mrs. Burke's Algebra I class used VR to determine if there's enough wasted corn in WV to power Charleston for 1 year by turning corn into ethanol.
