6th Graders Learn About Ancient Egypt

6th graders are completing their unit on ancient Egypt.

Mrs. Rayner’s class created scarabs, personalized with symbols that represent their own interests and values. They then went on an archeological dig of their own pyramid. Teams were tasked with predicting what treasures they hoped to find, documenting their excavation, and using World Book Kids to research the artifact they found.

In Mrs. Dasinger's class, students toured a gallery in the hallways and classroom to learn about ancient Egyptian inventions. They read, took notes, and reflected in small groups.
