Last week, our Assistant Superintendent, Dr. Betty Jo Malchesky, spoke at the Eastern Lake County Chamber of Commerce State of Education Conference, which focused on workforce development. Some highlights of the Spotlight on Perry Local Schools included the following statements:
“Just this year alone, 450 CCP college credits are about to be earned by our students.”
“We have 50 students that are matched in their junior or senior year with career internships with many partners…”
“Four years ago Perry schools had zero (Industry Recognized Credentials) today I can report, we have ten. Eight of which that are offered on our campus primarily in the in-demand jobs of healthcare, manufacturing, IT, and trades.”
